PLC Technician

Your Opportunity as PLC Technician

Location: Arkadelphia, AR

Work Arrangements: Monday – Friday, 3 pm to 11 pm

In this role you will:  

Inspect, diagnose, and repair complex automated machinery Utilize PC with automation software for backups, program updates and troubleshootingBecome engaged and motivated member of small technical team that is critical to bakery operationsPerform preventative maintenance activities and work orders in a timely manner to maximize performance of plant equipment Improve and modify preventative maintenance activities as appropriateResponsible for the manufacture of consumer foods which comply with all food safety, quality, and regulatory requirementsUnderstand and support company safety policies while performing work related activities in a safe mannerRecognize unsafe working conditions, coach peers, and suggest new safety standards as appropriateUnderstand, follow, and improve various documented standards in a Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) work environment Coach other team members on core electrical skills, machine functionality, defect identification, and equipment repairUtilize drawings, prints, and instruction manuals to determine proper steps to be taken for equipment maintenance tasksSafe working practices including LOTO, proper PPE usage, and procedure developmentThe employee must have the ability to sit, stand, walk, kneel, squat, bend, reach, push, pull, twist, crawl, climb stairs/ladders, and be able to lift to a maximum of 50 poundsOther duties as assigned

What we are looking for:  

Minimum Requirements: 

High School Diploma3 years of manufacturing, commercial, or industrial experience3 years of experience including electrical diagnostics utilizing multimeters, electrical schematics and application of theory1 year of experience relating to computer programming, software development, or Industrial PLC/HMI/SCADA solutions1 year of experience relating to mechanical devices and systems

Additional skills and experience that we think would make someone successful in this role:  

Associate’s degree in electrical engineering, controls, or related field Experience in Rockwell Automation Software platforms including Studio 5000, FTView Studio ME, FTLinx, and relatedExperience with Allen-Bradley VFDs, Kinetix servos, Stratix network switches, and PanelView HMIsTCP/IP v4 networking and troubleshootingSpecialized relevant training, coursework, or work experienceFamiliarity with robotics and vision systemsWorking knowledge of industrial printers (Videojet)480VAC power distribution to 24VDC control voltageSafety Relays, IO, and interlocksWeight controllers and load cellsStrong electrical troubleshooting skills utilizing multimeters, megohmmeters, and electrical theoryUnderstanding of mechanical devices and conceptsWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Ability to work independently and in a team atmosphere
