Your contribution will be pivotal in helping customers transforming their IT estate with Oracle cloud. Engaging with customers to understand their business drivers as well as current technical challenges, designing large-scale strategic architectures.

Architectural skills and experience are clearly important aspects to this role. These include;

a good general understanding of cloud architecture and hybrid on premise/cloud designs strong architectural understanding of all technical aspects of a cloud solution including networking, security, resilience and connectivity excellent communication and presentation skills with high degree of comfort speaking across all levels of management (e.g. IT management, Architects, administrators and executives) strong collaboration skills and the ability to build virtual teams to deliver broad-based architecture deliverables Experience in engaging and influencing senior leaders  Strong industry background – for example Banking or Telco experience.

In addition, a number of technical skills will also be needed. 

12+ years experience of working as an architect on large-scale application and database modernisations or migrations working knowledge of OCI plus any other hyperscaler experience of gathering information about and analysing large application and database estates  ability to build a complex migration strategy involving many hundreds of target systems track record of reference architecture publication knowledge and experience of a number of migration approaches and tools such as Rackware and Matilda Exposure to cloud onboarding knowledge and experience of building and managing large VMWare and Openshift estates
