The Impact You’ll Make in this Role As a senior product development engineer, you will have the opportunity to exercise your curiosity and work with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world.　Here, you will make an impact by: Deeply engaging with customers to develop applications to grow 3M's Temporally Bonding and De-bonding (TBDB) solutions, High Temperature Process Tape, and Pad Bonding Tape product businesses. The product platform of particular focus is TBDB. + ​​TBDB Solution: TBDB technology refers to a product line and technical solution that enables semiconductor components to be temporarily fixed to a support carrier during the manufacturing process of semiconductor chips and packages, and then detached from the support carrier after the customer's intended process is complete, without damaging the support carrier. 3M's TBDB Solution was developed in our laboratories in Japan and is widely used around the world, especially in the field of power semiconductor manufacturing. + Customer Engagement: In this role, the goal is to provide customers with solutions that meet their comprehensive goals (and sometimes their potential needs). In constant contact with target customers, and in collaboration with our international product development teams, you will constantly explore proposals that are the best options for our customers and that differentiate us from competing material suppliers. + Data Package Creation: Not only do you deliver valuable information from customers (pain points and product performance requirements) to the product development team, but you also sometimes find applications and use conditions that maximize the performance of our products through your own experiments in the lab, and provide these data packages to customers to gain their trust in 3M's products. + Utilization of Semiconductor Expertise and Experience: In the above job, you will be able to fully utilize the knowledge and insight on semiconductor manufacturing processes that you have gained through your extensive experience in the semiconductor industry. + Leading the growth of semiconductor-related business from Taiwan: Build trusted relationships with world-class foundries and OSATs in Taiwan that lead the global semiconductor industry and lead 3M's business from Taiwan in the product platforms for which you are responsible. Skills and Expertise To be successful in this role from day one, the following qualifications are required ( at a minimum ): • Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, or Physics from an accredited institution (completed and verified prior to start) and three years of experience in technical service, application development, product development, or process engineering in a private, public, government, or military environment.
