Platform Application Manager
In this position... Technology Platform Programs is a new team which is part of the Technology Platforms and Electrical Systems Organization within EVDD, focused on management of electrical architecture hardware/software platform implementation across Vehicle Programs. This represents a change of approach to traditional electrical system management at Ford Motor Company. This team will own the delivery of the minimum software complexity vision, which is instrumental to improving our software delivery quality and efficiency across the Vehicle Program lifecycle. There will also be a focus on hardware complexity across the entire electrical bill of material. This team will succeed using a highly disciplined execution approach of Hardware/Software strategies consistent with the modular catalog and feature/hardware bundles at a cross-vehicle Platform level. What you'll do... The primary responsibility of this leader is to serve as the expert of applying and adapting the FNV3.x platform to the vehicle program. The leader will also serve as the conduit of information from the vehicle program team into Platform decision making and planning. + Own the program specific Bill of Features + Lead development and maintenance of the Tech PDL for Program Application + Ensure Completion and Documentation of Vehicle Program Deliverables in Integrator w/ evidence from thru + Complete target setting and communicate Status at Program Milestones + Communicate and harmonize program assumptions (including coordination of Tech Platform PDL with program specific PDL for sign-off) + Evaluate program timing and drive reconciliation of timing disconnects to FNV3.x platform + Support TPV and DCV build plans with correct FNV3.x Platform content + Complete of vehicle program specific DV testing ahead of vehicle program PEC/FEC declaration. + Lead cross-functional issue resolution for hardware, software design, program content decisions, + Identify risks to delivery including developing and publishing Delivery Recovery Plans (DRPs) in Integrator for vehicle program. + Updating application metrics and KPIs (engineering completion, quality) + Lead System Integration into Vehicle Application. Interface with Core Platform team to ensure awareness of application specific status and help needed to maintain platform design. + Manage design and cost changes thru Core Platform decision forums + Accelerate enterprise decision making + Maintain integrity of FNV3.x platform + Lead Launch Issue resolution by interfacing with Core Platform Manufacturing lead. + Manage Hardware & Software post OKTB to deliver Quality in in-cycle commitments You'll have... + 15+ years previous experience in delivery (function, feature, or systems engineering) + Experience in at least 2 domains or equivalent + Ability to independently find and manage risk and opportunity in the Tech (Electrical architecture, software, ADAS, Module, and Motion Tech) space + Able to communicate complex ideas/problems and influence direction with senior leadership + Experience in cross-vehicle line design & release of FMVSS systems and sub-systems **Additional information (Unique Skills Needed or other notable information):** + Experience navigating and operating key applications including: Jira, FEDE, PDO, IntegratorYou may not check every box, or your experience may look a little different from what we've outlined, but if you think you can bring value to Ford Motor Company, we encourage you to apply!As an established global company, we offer the benefit of choice.
