Plant WD | Dyeing Technician I 3rd Shift

Position Overview

POSITION OBJECTIVE:

Prepare/maintain dye tanks for runs on the production schedule.

This includes monitoring tank farm volumes, operating the dye make-up systems, and executing adds/cuts as necessary.

Essential Duties:

Build, monitor and maintain dye stock volumes as required by management using standard formulas

Make adds/cuts to dye tanks as necessary to maintain target concentrations within ±1%

Operate the Spectrometer system to obtain correct dye strengths in dye solutions

Monitor, maintain and store bulk dye to ensure proper supply

Calculate dye consumption information to ensure adequate tank volumes

Build tank runs as necessary

Record dye adds and formulas in on Dye Technician Shift Report

Clean dye loop filters as prescribed in job procedures or as directed by Department leadership

Follow all other applicable procedures as outlined in AODocs

Keep work areas in a clean, orderly manner to include all of the tank farm area

Physical Requirements:

Frequently required to reach, handle, stand, walk, speak, hear, look at a computer screen, and look at reports

Must be able to work in temperatures that range from 50 degrees to 100 degrees

Must be able to climb ladders, use air/water hoses and work in wet and dusty environment

Occasionally required to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, and balance

Must be able to bend, squat and lift 50 lbs occasionally

Must be able to work 8-hour shifts
