Plant Supervisor - RMW
With assistance from the Operations Manager, the Regulated Medical Waste Supervisor will focus on the facilities, people, values, budget, efficiency, customer service, strategy, and innovation in the RMW department. Overseeing the full operations of the plant which includes safety, quality control, budget/cost controls, regulatory requirements, people management, transport and logistics, maintenance programs, customer satisfaction, facility management, equipment utilization, and performance. What will you be doing?Managing the interaction of all the departments on site to ensure the most cost and time efficient workflow; leading by example on dock and production floorsWorking knowledge of MCF’s Solid waste permit and bio medical waste treatment permit’s D & O planOSHA and Safety - Execute Plant safety goals and help strategic planning annually. Define requirements for site safety program, planning in accordance with all federal, state and local regulatory requirementsRMW Area Inspection - Daily walkthrough inspections pertaining to General Inspection, Fire and Emergency Compliance, Non-Hazardous Inventory, Personal Protective Equipment, Powered equipment, Hazardous Communication, Biohazardous Planning of daily production needs/capacity planningDevelop 2nd shift, taking on management of 2nd shiftEstablish quality control standards and measuresStreamline operations such as process flow mapping, time in motion studies, risk assessments, and other continuous improvement functions are updated and in line with current metricsIn consultation with the sales team, coordinate customer service requirements covering both production and service regarding RMWManage reports from Supervisors and Leads in the administration, transport, logistics, and customer service and treatment functions, includingData collection (floor reports)Data analysisKPI reviewsContingency planningOversight and maintenance of the regulatory compliance, ISO, AQIS, and DOT administration for the RMW portion of the siteEnsure maintenance program schedules are adhered toPerform all local and federal compliance related tasks associated with the machines such as (but not limited to) pH testing and cleanliness standardsEnsure all staff required for RMW are appropriately trained and motivatedEffective scheduling of employees and tasks to meet deadlinesEnsure Organization of RMW staff and resources are effectively utilizedComplaints escalated appropriately to managementPerformance reviews 60/120/annualA motivated, productive, highly professional and focused on internal and external customer care teamChampion of safety at all times, ensure that RMW and any other operational sites comply with or exceed OSHA requirements.Accurate and timely measurement and recording of loss time injuries (LTI’s) or near missesSafety procedures are followed including weekly training of workplace, health and safetyAn RMW facility maintenance and upkeep program is developed and maintained. Participate in and manage all external audits performed by regulatory bodies.Qualifications3+ years plant/warehouse leadership experience (or relatable experience)Mechanical backgroundFamiliar with OSHA and similar guidelinesExperience working in a process driven environmentOccasionally working in confined spacesExtensive lifting, walking, bending, and pushingMust be able to lift up to 55 pounds and push and/or pull carts weighing as much as 300 pounds Occasionally bending, twisting, and turning while lifting weights of fifty (50) poundsStanding for extended periods of time.$75,000 - $85,000 a yearWho are we?
