The Plant Supervisor will support multiple departments at a large facility. Supervising drivers, plant operators, and lab technicians as needed. Will dispatch drivers and complete all inbound and outbound paperwork.
How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?
Work cross functionally assisting multiple departments at the facility ensuring all departments work flow processes are followed and succinct as one team.
Lead safety culture with impact.
Ensure the plant is operating in a safe, organized, and efficient manner.
Ensure compliance with all company and governmental policies.
Maintain all required reports/paperwork and training for the facility.
Route drivers and plant employees to ensure the meeting of customer needs, following SOPs, maintain housekeeping.
Ensure accuracy of all paperwork and data entry in SAP.
Act as lead in place of lab, plant, or branch manager in their absence
Ensure the highest level of customer service by answering phones and assisting walk-in customers as needed.
Delegate tasks as needed to operators for seamless transfer of product in the yard.
All other duties as assigned.
________________________Are you a MATCH?Education and / or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and three to five years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of associates of the organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to interpret bar graphs.
Certificates, License, ETC...
Must possess valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a valid forklift operator’s license
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear; and smell. The associate frequently is required to sit. The associate must regularly move more than 125 pounds with the aid of material handling equipment. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and color vision.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the associate is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
