The Plant Manager of our Crothersville, Indiana plant is primarily responsible and accountable for making decisions that affect employee health & safety, employee relations, employee growth & development, facility profitability, quality of products, customer satisfaction, and local/regional community relationships. Develops manufacturing budgets and plans to meet production goals within budget.The Crothersville, Indiana Plant Manager leads the plant of approx 200 team members in making electrical wire products. This role is primarily responsible and accountable for making decisions that affect employee health & safety, employee relations, employee growth & development, facility profitability, quality of products, customer satisfaction, and local/regional community relationships. Develops manufacturing budgets and plans to meet production goals within budget.
Minimum Requirements and QualificationsBachelor’s degree in business or engineering preferred10+ years experience in manufacturing, including experience in a supervisory or managerial capacity, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.5+ years manufacturing experience in a process-based environment; wire and cable experience preferred.5+ years manufacturing plant/general management experienceExtensive and proven experience in Lean Manufacturing, strong track record of leading in a continuous improvement environment.Six Sigma / Lean Manufacturing Experience / TrainingMajor Responsibility Areas and DutiesLead all aspects of the manufacturing operations and development activities of the plant to achieve short and long-term goals to meet customer and company expectations.Drive world-class processes in the areas of EH&S, developing a solid safety culture within the plant in order to achieve an accident-free work environment, providing prompt and effective action to eliminate unsafe acts or conditions as they become apparent.Propose and execute plant operational budgets, capital budgets, sales forecasts and resource requirements.Lead the manufacturing functions in the plant on all shifts to ensure on-time production and shipment of conforming products and materials.
