Accountable for Plant operations to achieve results identified by the Corporation’s Win Strategy. Leads a team of empowered employees to continuously achieve and exceed customer expectations. This role requires strong leadership, operational expertise, and a commitment to safety and compliance. + Profit & Growth Management: Profitably grow the Plant and achieve operational and financial goals measured weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually. Collaborate with internal and external customers to promote and leverage Company technologies, systems, products, services, and processes. + Customer Service Excellence: Establish and maintain premier customer service by ensuring customer satisfaction and fostering long-term relationships. + Strategy Deployment & Operational Leadership: Lead strategy deployment for Plant initiatives and growth. Oversee all manufacturing functions to ensure operational efficiency and economy. + Manufacturing Engineering & Project Management: Provide leadership and direction for manufacturing engineering and project management activities to support process improvements, new product introductions, equipment upgrades, and facility expansions. Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and budget. + Lean Manufacturing & Continuous Improvement: Drive Lean initiatives throughout the Plant, ensuring full embrace and implementation to improve productivity, reduce waste, and enhance quality. + Inventory & Production Control: Ensure the Plant maintains proper inventory levels, production control scheduling, shipping/receiving logistics, and quality procedures to meet production demands and customer requirements. + Budget Management: Develop and manage the Plant budget, ensuring all operations are conducted within budget constraints while maximizing profitability. + Competitive Awareness: Maintain familiarity with the competitive environment to identify opportunities and threats, adapting strategies accordingly. + Leadership & Talent Management: Provide leadership by promoting team concepts, coaching, counseling, retaining, mentoring, training, talent management, and individual development to build a high-performing workforce. + Safety & Compliance: Enforce safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe workplace, comply with OSHA and other regulatory requirements, and reduce workplace incidents. + Reporting & Communication: Prepare and present regular reports on Plant performance, production metrics, and operational issues to senior management. Directly oversee and collaborate with the following key functions: Value Stream Managers, Shipping and Receiving Supervisor, Facilities Management, Manufacturing Engineers, Project Management Team. Qualifications + Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Management, or related field required (master’s preferred). + Proven experience (typically 7+ years) in manufacturing operations, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role. + Experience working with government contracts and knowledge of ITAR/EAR compliance requirements. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities + Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality standards, safety regulations, and project management methodologies. + Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement tools. + Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. + Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. + Proficiency with manufacturing software, ERP systems, and project management tools. + Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. + Strong decision-making and conflict resolution skills. + Familiarity with environmental regulations and sustainability practices. + Commitment to fostering a culture of teamwork and accountability.
