Career Opportunity:
As a Plant Manager, you are responsible for the day-to-day activities of the plant manufacturing operations, including safety policies, personnel, housekeeping, production activities, meeting customer requirements, and executing the production plan. You will serve as a member of the management leadership team. You will also serve as a coach to team members and assist in the development and evaluation of direct reports. . The Plant Manager must be able to analyze data to determine root causes of efficiency deficits and drive change throughout all operations to improve OEE utilizing Six Sigma methodology and Continuous Process Improvement initiatives. This position reports directly to the General Manager.

Provide leadership and guidance to a manufacturing organization of over 200 employees, pursuing excellence in financial performance, customer satisfaction and employee engagement.Coordinate with the plant EHS Manager to maintain ongoing, effective, safety policies to ensure program adoption and implementationAnalyze data to determine root causes of efficiency deficits and drive change throughout all operations to improve OEE utilizing Six Sigma methodology and Continuous Process Improvement initiativesEnsure GMP and SQF compliance across all departmentsCoordinate with Customer Service on plant activities through planning/scheduling to ensure the manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely manner.Review customer requirements and specifications to identify improvement opportunities and implement solutions to increase customer satisfactionCoordinate with the Reliability Manager to monitor the maintenance status and production rates of all equipment to achieve an uninterrupted production flow and daily output expectations. Ensure that Preventative Maintenance Programs are in place and maintained to maximize asset utilization and long-term return on investmentDevelop and implement ideas to support fulfillment of department goals and procedures for continuous improvement, company profitability, and employee job satisfactionEffectively communicate, verbally and in writing with various stakeholders to build effective relationships and produce superior productsMonitor and control waste to manage production costs and reduce environmental impactsChampion company culture, engagement, and team building.What You Need to Succeed:
Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent related work experience preferredHigh school diploma or GED is required5 plus years of related leadership experience in a production facility; packaging industry required, folding carton is preferredUnderstanding of SQF is requiredDemonstrated mechanical acumen, engineering a plusMust have business acumen. Understanding ROI, P&L reporting, manufacturing operational databases.Demonstrated understanding of quality processes and continuous improvement, such as Six Sigma certificationExcellent communication skills and ability to interact across all levels of the organization, while accomplishing organizational goalsDemonstrated knowledge of capital management including identifying opportunities where operational investments can have maximum impact.Established courses of action for self and/or others to accomplish specific planning goalsWhat We Offer:
