We are seeking an experienced leader to join our Kahone Site in Senegal as Plant Manager to oversee mid-sized to large plant operations, ensuring exceptional service delivery and alignment with commercial and contractual goals. This role plays a key part in driving plant performance and contributing to broader business success.

 

Main responsibilities:

Manages the overall service delivery at customer plant to meet agreed commercial and operational targets. Leads the plant organization and activities, ensuring optimal performance of customer plant and that maintenance and operations are performed safely, effectively, and in compliance with contracts. Leads and develops plant personnel, planning activities, setting objectives, monitoring performance, and providing technical and operational guidance and training for professional growth. Is accountable for the commercial and operational performance in line with contractual obligations. Drives continuous improvement in plant processes and performance metrics, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability. Engages with customers and stakeholders to maintain positive relationships and ensure alignment with contractual and operational expectations. Manages the plant budget, resources, being accountable for financial and operational performance. Manages and develops plant resources, workforce and capabilities to meet current and future business needs. Ensures compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards, promoting a safe working environment.

 

Skill-set requirements:

 

1. Education qualification:

Engineering degree – Electrical or Mechanical Overall, 12 years of experience with atleast 5 years of managerial experience in O&M of a powerplant strong financial term understanding experience in customer relations & customer management experience in Multi-Engine Wartsila Gas / HFO Engine Plant in a managerial capacity (Preferably as plant manager)

2. Knowledge and Experience: Exhibits in-depth knowledge of complex plant operations and maintenance, maintaining expertise and credibility across the operational area.

3.Innovation and Change:  Addresses complex problems by interpreting established processes and guidelines.

4.Teamwork and Leadership: Manages plant operations as a whole, organizing workload and resources to ensure commitments are met.

5.Communication and Networking: Actively seeks and acts upon feedback from customers, developing and maintaining customer relationships.
