This position is part of our Signal & Power Solutions segment and will be based out of Warren, OH plant locations.
Summary:
The Plant Manager is the senior-most manufacturing position in a single business unit for this global manufacturing organization. The position includes direct responsibility for the management and performance of a manufacturing plant located in Northeast Ohio.
Responsibilities:
The Manufacturing General Supervisor, Maintenance General Supervisor, Site Safety Manager, Lean Manager and Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor report directly to this position. The Plant Manager will report to the Cluster Manager. Other functional reports to the Plant Manager position include the Quality General Supervisor, PC&L General Supervisor and Finance Cluster Manager.
The Plant Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of the company’s manufacturing facility – ensuring superior service to our customers, with a strong focus on cost, quality and on-time delivery. The selected candidate is responsible for developing, monitoring, measuring and managing the group’s business plan to ensure objectives are met. Driving profits and revenue growth through safe an efficient manufacturing operations while improving yields and eliminating waste will be a key mandate for this leader. The Plant Manager will ensure that all site operations continually meet or exceed organizational objectives and be capable of building, developing, and managing strong teams and establishing a performance-based culture around accountability and operational excellence. Focusing on building a world-class team, utilizing and deploying lean techniques, driving achievement of company goals and superior performance across all KPIs (Key Performance Initiatives) will be a critical element of this position.

Provide overall strategic direction for scheduling, production capacity and planning to meet demand in the plantWork closely with Supply Chain and Sales to ensure production schedules are optimal and achievableProvide oversight and guidance that drives rapid achievement in the Company’s Lean goalsHire, develop and retain a manufacturing and Continuous Improvement staff capable of achieving strategic and annual objectivesLead the Policy Deployment process with alignment to long-term strategic objectivesPromote the success of the company’s Continuous improvement cultureProvide technical direction and guidance for Engineering staff (as it relates to manufacturing), as well as project management leadership, for product development;Ensure the optimal application of technical resources to meet product development and/or customer requirements;Resolve problems effectively, to make sound business decisions and exercise good judgment, and to maintain effectiveness and poise while managing changing priorities and ambiguity;Provide effective leadership and direction to management and professional level associates and demonstrate high ethical standards;Develop and control department or corporate budgets and to approve expenditures and to understand and evaluate financial data and reports;Coordinate and recommend cost savings and efficiency ideas;Effectively communicate and interact with people at all levels and geographies (both internal and external);Analyze technology, resource needs, market demand, and confer with all departments to assess feasibility of projects.Must Haves (Basic Qualifications):
Bachelor degree in engineering, operations management, finance, or other technical discipline.Strong track record as a leader including team leadership, people development, and “top grading” – driving accountability and behaviors across all levels and helping employees understand the connection between their day-to-day duties and the company’s mission and vision.He/she should be capable of developing an effective vision for operations that can facilitate growth and continued expansion.Automotive manufacturing experienceProven ability to turn-around challenging plantsEnergetic, action-oriented, pragmatic, resourceful, flexible, creative, innovative, hands-on, process-oriented, intelligent, and can set and support long-term strategy.Nice to Haves (Preferred Qualifications):
