As Plant Manager, you’ll serve as a key member of our Global Operations Team leading the daily operations of our Houston, TX manufacturing facility. You will lead an integrated manufacturing site with aluminum sand cast foundry, machining, fabrication, and assembly operations. The Houston plant produces engineer to order and configure to order electrical enclosures and related products for use in hazardous location spaces and sold to a diverse U.S. and international customer base. In the role of Plant Manager, you will provide leadership and motivation to provide our customers with excellent experience that impacts safety, value, lead time, and quality. This business is currently $30M and has 90 employees with significant opportunity to grow.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment utilizing a philosophy of 5S and continuous improvement Responsible for improving the profit of the facility by reducing costs and increasing efficiency Works directly with department heads to coordinate purchasing, production and quality to reliably deliver products to our customers Will work with the customers, engineering and order entry to ensure the proper information is available for manufacturing in a timely manner Communicate with employees at all levels encouraging feedback and discussions about potential improvements, safety concerns and actual changes in the factory and office Relay company, division and plant objectives to all employees on a regular basis Optimize working capital with a focus on inventory turns and order frequency Monitor performance, provide regular feedback and conduct employee performance reviews Encourages and facilitates implementation of improvements and development of new processes and products within the facility Identify and understand business requirements, developing the strategy and application roadmap needed to satisfy those requirements Provide oversight on capital expenditures to improve processes, reliability and cost

For This Role, You Will Need:
Bachelor’s degree A minimum of 8 years of experience in leadership roles within a manufacturing environment. Experience working in or with the electrical / mechanical assembly industry. Experience making and executing on financial operating plans (P&L). Must be able to effectively communicate with employees, other department managers and senior management on a regular basis.
