Plant Manager Department: Manufacturing Management Employment Type: Full Time Location: Liberty, SC Reporting To: Senior Director of Operations Compensation: $160,000 - $200,000 / year Description The Plant Manager will oversee the manufacturing of film, electrolytic capacitors, and mica capacitors at our largest domestic facility located in Liberty, South Carolina. This role involves ensuring that the factory meets tactical performance targets to support business needs while also driving long-range plans that will enhance efficiency. The selected candidate will be required to work on-site in Liberty, South Carolina. Join our team and play a crucial role in transforming our largest U.S.-based facility to achieve the next level of operational excellence. Key Responsibilities 1. Execution Efficiency: + Ensure Plant is meeting Safety, Quality, Delivery, Yield and Cost annual targets. + Coordinate with R&D to enable smooth transition from design to production of new products. + Facilitate the alignment of priorities between commercial and operational. 2. Continuous Improvements: + Process Optimization: Identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement within manufacturing processes and workflows for improved productivity, quality, and yield. + Manufacturing Systems: Improvements to existing manufacturing systems or deployment of enhanced manufacturing systems that will increase factory efficiency. + Lean methodologies: Guide and implement methods and tools to streamline operations, reduce waste, and enhance overall efficiency. + Data Analysis: Utilize data-driven approaches to analyze performance metrics, identify trends, and present actionable insights for improvement. + Monitoring and Reporting: Regularly track and report progress on improvement and responding to areas needing further attention. 3. Strategic Planning: + Collaborate with corporate teams to translate strategic roadmaps into executable actions that leads to the desired results. + Develop and execute comprehensive plans that align to the factory's goals and objectives. 4. Operating Culture: + Instill a culture of accountability focused on result-orientation. + Foster a culture of innovation for continuous improvements. + Adopt Knowles best practices to accelerate the improvements. + Attract, motivate, and develop high caliber talent. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise + Bachelor's degree preferably in a technical discipline with a minimum of 8- 10 years of demonstrated performance in Manufacturing / Operations. + Demonstrated capability in execution excellence and ability to build effective operations culture is required. + Proven track record of driving continuous improvement for plant-wide operations. + Experienced in developing and able to implement operations strategies that delivers end results is a must. + Must be able to effectively communicate and collaborate with Knowles leadership teams. + Excellent management skills, including the ability to supervise and lead factory teams to drive positive changes. + Familiarity with electrical/ electronic components manufacturing such as capacitors is an advantage. + Candidate is expected to work full time on location at Liberty, South Carolina with occasional travel to other manufacturing locations. We are committed to providing a competitive and fair total compensation package for all employees. One element in our total compensation package is base pay. The starting base pay for this role is $160,000 to $200,000 per year. Individual compensation decisions are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to previous experience and skills acquired prior to joining us, cost of living in the assigned work location, assigned schedule, and salaries of similarly situated peers at the company. It is to be expected that candidates will come to us with different sets of skills and experiences and therefore will be paid at different points in the stated range.
