Position Summary
Communicate standards of excellence in the daily work assignments of assigned team to meet safe production as outlined by Management. Standards should be communicated through stated goals, daily interaction, Team meetings, provide input on employee performance evaluations, and recommend disciplinary actions. Requirements Perform standard office duties, plant duties and operate mobile equipmentEstablish and maintain effective communications within all areas of the operationMust make regular inspections for safety, housekeeping and mechanical issues in all areas of the operationImplement and apply all safety rules, regulations and procedures of mine and property as set forth by federal, state, local agencies and policiesWork closely with management to ensure implementation of scheduled maintenance on all equipmentPerform annual performance evaluations on team membersAssist management in developing mining plans, profit plans, AFE'S, and monthly forecastDemonstrate a positive, upbeat attitude and energy level and toward teammates, peers, and customersComplete daily production, safety and maintenance reports accuratelyResponsible for maintaining the quality of all productsMaintain housekeeping and appearance standards as establishedAssist with equipment repairs and housekeeping as neededOther duties as requested Minimum Education and Experience Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience preferably in the aggregates industryMinimum of 1 year supervisory or progressive leadership experience Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Effective coordination and communication skills (written and verbal)Understand team-based managementSelf-starter with ability to work with little or no supervisionMust be able to read, write and verbally communicate in the English languageStrong mechanical knowledgeAbility to handle multiple projects simultaneouslyAbility to travel long distances by car or other commercial means, overnight at timesMust be able to work irregular shifts and weekends as required Working Conditions Larger equipment is typically air conditioned. There will be times when outside assignments may require periods of work in all weather conditions-heat, cold, wet or dry and dusty.
