Plant HSE Coordinator

Your mission, roles and responsibilities

Join FORVIA as an HSE Coordinator and contribute to our commitment to safety, sustainable development, and operational excellence. As a key player in the Health, Safety, and Environmental Impact Reduction (HSE) department, you'll play a crucial role in achieving our ambition for "zero accidents" and minimal environmental impact.

As HSE Coordinator, your key responsibilities will be:
•    Assist HSE Manager in all duties.
•    Monitor legal compliance and manage the site's relations with local government and regulatory organizations to maintain applicable plans, permits, and training.
•    Use available media to communicate safety and environmental policies and to coach or support the site employees.
•    Supervise first aid and local medical care procedures.
•    Coordinate emergency actions and carry out initial accident enquiries.
•    Investigate and follow-up on Worker’s Compensation Claims as directed.
•    Manage return to work and adherance of safety protocols.
•    Order equipment and supplies.
•    Review operator standardized work instruction for PPE usage and other machine and equipment safety protocols.
•    Participate in Faurecia's HSE network.
•    Support the reporting of legal, insurance and other HSE indicators (e.g. lost time (FR0t), medical treatment (FR1t), first aid and Near Miss, Audit results, environmental data, etc.). 
•    Assist with emergency preparedness and response actions (e.g. fire drill, tornado drill, etc.).
•    Propose continuous improvement ideas in business efficiency and cost reduction.
•    Capitalizes on knowledge and shares best practices / lessons learned across organization and within the site.
•    Drive or participate in HSE training per defined planning. 
•    Conduct risk analysis and provide improvement solutions to current working condition (e.g. machine and equipment upgrade) and protection of the environment.

Your profile and competencies to succeed

Minimum education level:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or Health, Safety & Environment related degree preferred.Internal or Lead Auditor in EMS, Health and Safety Management Systems (HSMS) or related management systemExperience in a plant or in an industrial environment Experience of at least 1 year in Workers Compensation claims management (USA) Professional safety certifications preferred (i.e. Certified Safety Professional, Certified Industrial Hygienist, etc.)•    Bachelor’s degree in engineering or Health, Safety & Environment related degree preferred.
•    Internal or Lead Auditor in EMS, Health and Safety Management Systems (HSMS) or related management system
•    Experience in a plant or in an industrial environment 
•    Experience of at least 1 year in Workers Compensation claims management (USA) 
•    Professional safety certifications preferred (i.e. Certified Safety Professional, Certified Industrial Hygienist, etc.)
