The ideal candidate will have a solid engineering background and hands-on experience with high-speed necking equipment, ensuring consistent product quality, minimal downtime, and continuous process improvement. **Key Responsibilities:** + Oversee setup, operation, and optimization of necking machines used in can manufacturing. + Develop and implement process improvements to enhance machine efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality. + Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshooting of machine issues and process deviations. + Collaborate with maintenance, tooling, and production teams to ensure optimal machine performance and minimal downtime. + Monitor tooling wear and recommend/coordinate timely replacement or rework. + Maintain detailed documentation of process parameters, machine settings, and performance metrics. + Train operators and technicians on best practices in necking operations and safety procedures. + Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and environmental standards. **Qualifications:** + Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. + 3+ years of experience working with necking machines in a high-speed manufacturing environment, preferably in metal packaging or can manufacturing. + Strong knowledge of metal forming processes, especially progressive necking/press. + Familiarity with tooling setup and die maintenance for necking operations. + Proficient in using diagnostic and analysis tools. + Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. + Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally. + Experience with continuous improvement methodologies is a plus. **Ball Corporation es un empleador que ofrece igualdad de oportunidades.
