Plant Engineer
As a Plant Engineer you will be responsible for supporting the operations and maintenance of the plant, ensuring efficient, safe and compliant processing of hazardous waste materials. This role will oversee the technical aspects of plant operations, including process optimization, equipment maintenance, and adherence to regulatory standards. \n
Essential Functions & Requirements: \n\nPrioritizes health and safety by adhering to policies, processes, and maintaining safe practices at all times\nMonitors and optimizes incineration processes to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime\nEnsures that all plant systems are functioning within established parameters and safety standards\nCollaborates with operations staff to troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise in the plant\nDevelops and implements preventive and predictive maintenance programs to reduce unplanned downtime\nLeads diagnosing and resolving equipment malfunctions or failures\nPartners with the maintenance team to plan and coordinate scheduled shutdowns and repairs\nEnsures compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulations regarding hazardous waste management and incineration processes\nParticipates in safety audits and incident investigations to promote a safe working environment\nCollects and analyzes operational data to support performance monitoring and reporting\nDocuments maintenance activities and prepares reports as required\nAnalyzes plant data to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reduction\nImplements engineering solutions to enhance plant performance, including upgrades to existing systems and the integration of new technologies\nLeads or supports engineering projects related to plant upgrades, expansions, or new construction\nManages project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful completion\nCoordinates with contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders to achieve project goals\nTakes on additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization\n\n
Education:\n\nBachelor's degree in chemical or mechanical engineering (required) \n\n
Experience: \n\nPrevious related engineering experience including co-ops or internships (preferred) \n\n
Competencies: \n\nStrong understanding of engineering principles and hazardous waste management\nFamiliarity with safety regulations and environmental compliance requirements\nExcellent problem-solving skills and a strong attention to detail\nEffective communication skills to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders\nAbility to work in a dynamic and challenging environment\nRegular and predictable attendance to perform the functions and requirements of this role
