Plant Engineer
Location: Medford, OR

The Plant Engineer is responsible for engineering and project support for process and specialty gas operations, and plant and equipment maintenance. The Plant Engineer performs project engineering work from design to start-up in accordance with Linde Gas Equipment Inc. policies. Participates on project and technical teams and provides technical guidance to plant operations. The Plant Engineer works independently and makes technical decisions based on full awareness of viability, cost, and other benefits. Plant Engineer will ensure all plant and equipment is inspected, tested, and maintained according to Linde Gas Equipment Inc. standards and manufacture standards. Plant maintenance tech will report to Plant Engineer.

With limited supervision, the Plant Engineer creates design layouts and equipment lists. Plant Engineers work with Linde Gas Equipment Inc. employees and vendors to determine the best and safest design. Communicates and collaborates as needed with project management, customers, operations, procurement, safety, and business groups. Develops and implements innovative solutions for process, plant, and project-based problems. All activities will require excellent organization and communication.

What you will be doing:

Develops project plans by reviewing project proposals and objectivesDetermines project requirements by reviewing product requirements, customer specifications, and performance standardsDetermines project schedule by reviewing project plan and specifications; calculating time requirements; sequencing project elementsExecutes project plan and maintains project schedule, monitors project progress; coordinates activities; resolves problemsResponsiblefor resolving engineering issues with proposals or projectsControls project plan, schedule changes, and recommends actionsControl’s project costs and approves expendituresEnsures compliance with Linde Gas Equipment Inc. policy and government regulationsParticipate in final field safety inspectionsTroubleshoots plant process equipment problems and implements solutionsExecutes various aspects of the Linde Gas Equipment Inc. Safety ProgramOversee and Direct Hazardous and Universal Waste activities within the facility Schedules and coordinates repair, modification and preventive maintenance operationsOversees location Contractor Safety ProgramOversees location's Process Safety Mechanical Integrity ProgramAssists in the development and review of standard operating proceduresParticipates in HAZOPs and FMEAsLocation liaison with corporate process safety groupOversees and/or performs new equipment installationsOther duties as assigned
