Job Title: Plant Engineer
Job Description

The Plant Engineer plays a crucial role in providing technical expertise for the development, design, and execution of capital expenditure and maintenance projects. This position works closely with the VP of Engineering and the Plant Manager.

ResponsibilitiesDevelop, design, perform cost estimation and justification, and prepare the business case for capital expenditure projects.Manage and execute multiple projects concurrently.Provide expertise on requirements for new equipment and repairs to existing equipment.Schedule and execute equipment and machinery inspections.Stay current on new technology and equipment that may be used for new projects or improvements of existing equipment or facilities.Collaborate with plant production management staff on continuous improvement initiatives.Ensure employees have the training and resources necessary to perform their jobs and maintain a high-quality work environment.Motivate team members to perform at their highest level.Partner with maintenance to improve manufacturing efficiencies, plant safety, and product quality.Maintain work procedures and processes supporting company and departmental standards, procedures, and strategic directives.Ensure adherence to company policies, including safety and the use of personal protective equipment.Essential SkillsExpertise in plant engineering, continuous improvement, and capital expenditure project development.Experience in project management, with the ability to manage many projects concurrently.Proficiency in inventor AutoCAD and other CAD software.Solid understanding of industrial engineering and process improvement.Machinery maintenance knowledge.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering.3+ years of experience, ideally in a manufacturing plant.Strong problem-solving abilities.Ability to work with vendors, contractors, plant staff, and corporate engineering to complete projects on time and within budget.Experience with design software is essential.Demonstrated understanding of process control systems.Familiarity with data analysis programs and basic CAD and CAM software.Specific vision abilities required: distance vision and depth perception.Work Environment

This role is onsite and involves working in both office and manufacturing/warehouse environments. It requires exposure to indoor and outdoor conditions, including varying temperatures. Personal protective equipment, such as safety glasses, hard hat, steel toes, and ear protection, is required.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $125000.00/yr.
