Plant Controller
Description We are looking for an experienced Plant Controller to oversee and manage financial operations for our manufacturing facility in Benton, Arkansas. This role requires a proactive leader with a strong analytical mindset to support strategic business growth and ensure financial compliance. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to drive efficiency, accuracy, and organizational improvements. Responsibilities: • Prepare and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and monthly commentary on results. • Lead and manage the financial month-end close process to ensure timely and accurate reporting. • Develop and oversee budgeting and forecasting activities to support business strategies. • Supervise cash management activities, including accounts receivable and accounts payable. • Conduct intercompany analysis and ensure compliance with sales and use tax regulations. • Perform product costing analysis and identify opportunities to improve business efficiencies. • Track and report capital expenditure projects and review excess and obsolete inventory. • Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of three associates within the department. • Deliver ad hoc financial reports and analyses as requested by senior management. • Manage special financial projects assigned by the President or other leadership. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, with a focus on business or finance coursework. • Minimum of 5 years of accounting or financial analysis experience within a manufacturing environment. • Prior experience in a controller or leadership role is highly desirable. • Advanced proficiency in data mining, ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel; familiarity with Word and Outlook. • Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proven problem-solving capabilities. • Familiarity with working capital concepts and the ability to provide actionable insights to improve business performance. • High-energy, deadline-driven individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes ownership of responsibilities.
