Your Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a proactive and skilled Plant Buyer to join our dynamic team. The Plant Buyer will be responsible for facilitating and optimizing procurement processes, managing supplier relationships, and developing strategies that align with our business goals. This role is crucial in ensuring that our plant operations have the necessary resources to maintain quality and cost-effective production.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain strong business relationships with dedicated suppliers within designated geographical areas.

Coordinate ongoing interactions with suppliers to enhance business relations and facilitate seamless operations.

Support the development of market analyses to understand industry trends and competitive landscapes.

Implement comprehensive category strategies to optimize purchasing activities and capitalize on market opportunities.

Define and establish profitable purchasing strategies for assigned categories, ensuring alignment across functions and divisions.

Deploy effective negotiation tactics to secure advantageous terms and conditions for procurement.

Continuously monitor supply market dynamics to manage and refine the supplier portfolio.

Ensure suppliers are compliant with quality standards, cost efficiency metrics, timely delivery schedules, and sustainability measures.

Negotiate prices and contract terms as part of the supplier management assignment (SMA).

Manage and oversee contracts to ensure supplier adherence to agreed terms and legal regulations.

Coordinate and guide the assigned procurement category to align purchase price planning with company objectives.

Identify and define cost-saving projects to drive improvements in procurement efficiency.

 

Your Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field 2 plus years of relevant experience  Proven experience in procurement, supplier management, or a similar role Strong negotiation and analytical skills Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities Proficiency in procurement software and tools External applicants must be authorized to work in the US without employment VISA or other sponsorship
