Plant Administrator

**_What’s the job?_**
This position is responsible for the processing of biweekly payroll for hourly employees within an industrial manufacturing setting. The individual in this position will perform a variety of administrative functions in support of Plant Manager, Human Resources, and staff and will coordinate various finance and administrative functions with Payroll, Financial Shared Services, and Gypsum Corporate Office.
+ Serves as first point of contact for the facility
+ Performs various administrative duties
+ Maintains communication systems and office equipment
+ Manages general housekeeping of all common areas
+ Coordinate couriers, vendor visits and site logs.
+ Coordinates, prepares, and processes local purchase orders for plant purchases as indicated by documented procedures and release blanket purchase orders.
+ Develops accurate data and information from records to prepare reports, statistics, etc.
+ Compiles, audits, and processes a variety of confidential weekly/monthly/quarterly reports for departments as requested.
+ Prepares and maintains hourly personnel files for all employees at plant in accordance with Federal and state agencies or by Saint-Gobain.
+ Serves as timekeeping and payroll administrator for hourly employees.
+ Processing bi-weekly payroll for hourly employees
+ Assist HR to resolve payroll/benefit issues.
+ Coordinates onboarding schedules for new hires
+ Develops and maintains a filing system that complies with Corporate Retention Policy.
+ Assists with planning various employee engagement events for all employees
+ Expedite local payables and assists accounts payable with any payment issues.
+ Performs other duties of a similar nature and complexity, as directed.

**_What do you bring?_**
+ High School Diploma required, Associate’s Degree in Business or related field preferred
+ Proven experience in administrative or office management roles, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
+ Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with payroll systems.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
+ High level of discretion and confidentiality.
