As the Plant Administrative Assistant, you will provide administrative support for the Plant Manager and will report to them. You will arrange activities, perform administrative tasks, respond to messages and requests on behalf of the Plant Manager on a variety of matters. You will be the communication link between the Plant Manager and plant associates, other PPG locations, customers, civic groups, and the community. You will work onsite in Oak Creek, WI.
Main Responsibilities:
Prepare correspondence and reports, complete assigned projects by gathering, compiling, and distributing information.Keep informed of plant manager’s activities, following up to facilitate responses to projects, phone messages, letters, help resolve scheduling conflicts.Interact with all levels of PPG associates in most coatings & resins locations.Provide administrative support to other functions, including operations services, HR, OPEX, etc.Work with site teams to set up executive and customer visits, and audits. Schedule meeting rooms, arrange in-house and off-site meals, partner with market managers and sales associates to accommodate customer needs. Review and distribute incoming mail and packages.Assume responsibility for appearance of conference rooms and the main lobby.Help co-plan and implement employee activities and promote the plant’s commitment to the community.Other responsibilities as assignedQualifications:
High school diploma or GED required2+ years of related experience in a manufacturing environmentExperience with MS Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) requiredStrong communication and organizational skillsPPG pay ranges and benefits can vary by location which allows us to compensate employees competitively in different geographic markets.
