Introduction
We are seeking a Planning Superintendent to join our Repair Center team. Your role plays a crucial parts in include effectively managing the coordiation of project, procurement, and warehouse functions, guiding and growing the subordinates, and stepping in as the acting Service Center Manager when needed. In this position, you will report to the Service Center Manager. This role will be based in Surabaya.
What You'll Do
Enforce safety standards and ensure all team members comply with Metso Modus Operandi, Metso Life-Saving Rules and standard procedures Supervise and provide leadership to the Repairs Coordinators and Planner, ensuring due diligence in cost estimates and customer proposals and all jobs are managed efficiently and meet required standards Collaborate with the Repairs Coordinators and Planner to develop and maintain job schedules and timelines, ensuring all repair projects are completed on time and within budget Ensure Repairs Coordinators and Planner maintain accurate schedules, timelines, and status updates for ongoing repair jobs and communicated clearly with clients Provide guidance on best practices for project management, resource allocation, and troubleshooting Prioritise jobs based on urgency, customer requirements and available resources Manage the workload distribution among Repairs Coordinators to balance job demands Forecast future resource needs based on current and upcoming repair projects and ensure resource availability Oversee the procurement process, ensuring that all materials and tools required for repair projects are sourced and acquired on time Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure the quality, timely and cost-effective procurement of goods/services Oversee the Warehouse and Toolstore operations, ensuring that tools, equipment, and spare parts are properly stored, organised, and easily accessible for the team Ensure that inventory levels are maintained, and reordering processes are executed when stock levels reach minimum thresholds Ensure that all equipment and materials are in good working condition and available for use when needed Handle customer inquiries or complaints regarding repairs, escalating issues as necessary Monitor and evaluate on regular basis the performance of the Repairs Coordinators, Planner, Procurement, Warehouse, and Toolstore teams Identify areas of improvement and implement actions to streamline operations, reduce costs, and enhance service delivery Encourage the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives within the Repairs team, promoting quality control, efficiency and cost-saving measures Complete three-monthly forecasting of invoicing and order intake Review the profit margin achieved for each job on monthly basis, develop report and action items Act as Document Controller managing Intellectual Property (IP) related documents such as procedures, drawings and any other documents accooding to Company Policy Act as acting Service Center Manager when needed
Who You Are
Diploma/Bachelor degree in Engineering or mechanical trade qualification with 8+ years experience in repair of mining or manufacturing industry equipment 5+ years in a supervisory or managerial role Understanding of mining equipment including crusher, screen, pump, filter, hydraulics particularly Metso product is desirable Strong understanding of repair processes, scheduling, procurement, inventory management, and project management Demonstrated leadership, communication, and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment OEM maintenance/service operations experience QAQC experience Have Lean 5S certification is desirable Observes safety regulation and exhibits a high concern for safety Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety procedures, operating and maintenance instructions and OEM technical manuals Ability to write routine reports and correspondence Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in high pressure situations MS Office suite include MS Project intermediate experience/skills
