Your Role:
In this role you will work closely with Forecasting, Operations Planning, and Procurement Planning functions, reviewing and adjusting demands at a global and local level, compiling long and short-term capacity plans, and ensuring Supply Chain planning designs are set to achieve global service and inventory objectives.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Create and manage operational schedules, leveraging SAP, PAP or other software, to meet throughput, customer service, and company goals. This includes analyzing planned orders and converting them as needed, while identifying and resolving scheduling constraints like bulk size or warehouse space.Analyze inventory and forecast data to ensure superior customer service, participating in projects to eliminate backorders and optimize inventory levels. You'll also enforce inventory approval policies.Balance the production workload, allowing flexibility for special orders while minimizing work-in-progress (WIP) and ensuring low cycle times.Manage SAP exception messages, act on recommended plan changes (including expediting or rescheduling orders), and maintain a 99% service level for top products. Maintain and audit key SAP planning master data, including lot size, lead time, and MRP controllers. Develop and analyze SAP-generated reports to identify opportunities for strategic refinement, process improvement, and testing. This involves evaluating, testing, and implementing changes to improve service, cycle time, and throughput efficiency.Work closely with purchasing, production, and global planning teams to ensure bulk availability, packaging requirements, and coordinated planning designs across the entire supply chain.Communicate effectively with various management levels, Sales, and Marketing departments, frequently explaining SAP Planning policies and functions to personnel unfamiliar with them.Support overall business unit objectives by developing a deep understanding of complex processes for effective troubleshooting and process improvement.
Who You Are:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Biology, Microbiology, or other Business, or Life Science Discipline. 1+ years of experience in supply chain, forecasting, or planning and scheduling.2+ years’ of experience in moving material through the product delivery cycle.
Preferred Qualifications:
APICS certification.Proficient in spreadsheets and databases, data analysis.Working knowledge of SAP.Material requirements planning experience.Experience with ISO standards in documentation preparation.
