Planning Lead

Eaton’s IS AER ITD division is currently seeking a Planning Lead. 

What you’ll do:

Job Summary
The Planning Lead manages the production scheduling using all available scheduling tools to most efficiently utilize resources consistent with forecasts and customer objectives. This position is also responsible for meeting working capital and customer service shipping performance targets, while coordinating his planning team effort and working closely with Customer Service, Purchasing, and Production to deliver.
Primary Responsibilities
•    Implement planning policies and practices established by the Supply Chain Manager that minimize the total cost of acquisition of materials that support the plant’s manufacturing needs.
•    Coordinates and supervises the activities of the planning team
•    Balance current and future customer demand requirements with manufacturing and supplier capabilities/capacities to ensure completion of customer requirements
•    Manage the Master Production Schedule in the MRP system for specific customers or product lines to generate requirements for manufactured and purchased parts while ensuring desired inventory levels are maintained
•    Assist the Planning Manager to review new sales order requests and provides a feasible promise dates to customer service before the orders are promised
•    Reviews planning parameters in order execution systems (such as MFGPro) to ensure proper order generation.  
•    Coordinates with supply Chain, Manufacturing and Customer Service groups to maintain plant-wide production scheduling information
•    Develop and train subordinates to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures. 
•    Develop and train subordinates with appropriate growth experiences to challenge them and to determine their capabilities and interests.
•    Monitor & report on appropriate planning metrics.  Implement corrective actions where metrics are not meeting expectations.

Qualifications:

Education/Previous Experience Requirements
•    Bachelor’s degree in a supply chain / engineering / science related field
•    More than 3 years’ experience in a similar position.
•    Excellent oral and written communication skills 
•    Advanced communication in English 
•    Computer usage: Advanced
