The Planning & Activation Director role is accountable for influencing the strategic direction, performance, and operational excellence of all digital buying and activation across client portfolio. This role combines high-level trading influence with deep platform knowledge and team development, ensuring digital campaigns are not only flawlessly delivered but deliver maximum return on investment. You’ll be the team's guide voice on digital investment—guiding commercial strategy, building partner relationships, and driving innovation. Your scope will include: • Build strong relationships with Senior Clients. Serve as senior client contact for all digital investment and activation-related discussions • Present strategic recommendations, trends, and innovation opportunities to senior client stakeholders • Influence client training on Digital investment & activation related topics • Ensure alignment between digital activation, planning and broader client objectives • Drive innovation in trading models, automation, and data-led targeting • Evolve tech stack, trading protocols and activation processes to meet strategic needs • Provide senior oversight on implementation and optimisation of digital campaigns from launch to reporting • Set and monitor delivery against KPIs, troubleshoot escalations and ensure quality & efficiency • Review and interpret audit/Media Mix Modelling (MMM) results to inform future strategies • Spearhead trading negotiations, value-driven partnerships and deal-making • Provide investment guidance and assessment for sponsorship/partnership briefs (Pioneer/Propel tier). Negotiate final cost, value and commercial opportunity in line with strategy • Assist planning teams with implementation recommendations and planning cost (such as CPM, Fixed Unit) from a commercial lens • Assist in the development of Digital I&A Executives by providing feedback and guidance, assist them in delivering their KPIs • Develop the team’s commercial acumen, strategic thinking, and solution-finding abilities beyond technical implementation • Effectively oversee workflow and communications with the offshore team to ensure seamless campaign implementation and reporting • Oversee client deals and contract with key media partners. Ensure we deliver to contractual terms and obtain entitled value • Clear comprehension of all PMX and Zenith products and where they are applicable for clients – APEX, Publicis Lift, Precision • Be the top representative of our core values by contributing to the broader agency culture and initiatives. Project confidence, energy and build team morale • Assist new business pitches and pipeline opportunities where required • Oversee all external Media Owner WIPs. Focus on campaign management and delivery, two-way feedback and insights into client problems.
