Job Title: Planner Scheduler
Job Description

The Project Planner Scheduler plays a crucial role in supporting Project Management by developing detailed project schedules that encompass the entire project cycle from development to operations. This position is responsible for creating project templates, analyzing critical paths, and implementing variables into schedules. The scheduler maintains multiple schedules across various projects and stages, supports ongoing projects by collaborating with the project team on project status, and identifies opportunities for improvement and delays.

ResponsibilitiesDevelop logically linked schedules using proposal documents, contract documents, and estimate sheets.Create and revise preliminary master schedules prior to project start, detailing the sequence of all work and recording the impact of work performed or not performed as scheduled.Evaluate actual progress and provide regular schedule updates.Interface with Project Managers and Project Engineers to discuss the impact of work and resolve problems.Contribute to the development of working schedules for Estimating before the proposal date, illustrating the sequence of work activities and contract time.Prepare and issue proposal and preliminary schedules.Incorporate Resource and/or Cost Loading data into schedules as required.Serve as a technical advisor for solving difficult schedule problems.Consult project team members and use estimating procedures to ensure proper planning before work commencement.Assist Project Managers in creating schedule segments, monitor these schedules, and help formulate actions to correct scheduling problems.Provide information on the content, modification, or presentation of project schedules as needed.Interface with internal and external stakeholders regarding planning and scheduling-related items and functions, including reporting requirements and progress reporting.Identify scheduling software training needs among employees and provide necessary training.Continuously expand and update professional knowledge to enhance individual and team innovation and productivity.Support the project team in project planning and tracking.Update project schedule status and overall project plan.Gather and analyze data for project reviews and other meetings.Monitor and report project performance against plan for all projects.Ensure adherence to company policies and advise management on needed actions.Maintain records and prepare charts, graphs, tables, reports, and other analyses as required.Participate as a team member in bid and proposal activities.Coordinate with the project team and customers under the direction of the Project Manager.Prepare customer communications as requested.Support, communicate, reinforce, and defend the mission, values, and culture of the organization.Oversee, coach, and mentor lower-level personnel when appropriate.Essential SkillsExperience with Primavera P6 and project controls.Ability to perform forensic analysis, burn value assessments, EPC outage support, cost analysis, and schedule planning.Proficiency in planner and cost control tasks.Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.Five years of experience in an EPC environment, specifically in planning/scheduling of major power generation projects.Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.Strong communication skills for writing reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.Mathematical proficiency including probability, statistical inference, geometry, and trigonometry.Reasoning ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.Computer skills in resource loading scheduling software, project management applications, spreadsheets, word processing, email, graphics, technical diagrams, flow charts.Additional Skills & QualificationsInternational business experience is desirable.Work Environment

This position operates on a hybrid schedule, requiring three days in the office and two days working from home. Up to 20% domestic travel may be required.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
