PURPOSE:
Ensures performance is met to customer requirements and to achieve company objectives for customer service and inventory levels.
YOU WILL:
Schedules and coordinates the flow of work within or between departments to expedite productionReviews master production schedule and sales orders, establishes priorities for specific customer orders, and revises schedule according to work order specifications, established priorities, and availability or capability of workers, parts, materials, and equipmentAnalyzes and plans material requirements by determining the quantity and date materials are needed to ensure optimal inventory levelsAddresses issue when they arise aiming for minimum disruptionPrepares operational schedules and coordinates manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality of products meet specificationsResponsible for root cause analysis when Line Fill Rate falls below 98%Highlight opportunities for inventory reduction, lead time & cost reductionsCoordinates with Distribution Center to prioritize shipments and meet customer demands. Monitors and balances DC and agent inventories to prevent stock-outs and service disruptions.Assists warehouse staff to assure proper flow of off-system purchases and vendor managed inventories (cartons, hardware).Manages ordering, confirmation, and tracking processes for non-standard and special fabrications.Reviews daily order backlog and maintains Short Report to proactively avoid unwanted inventory movements.
YOU HAVE:
BS Engineering, Supply Chain, or related degree with a preference for a technical degree.Proven experience as planner with 3+ years in a manufacturing/distribution environment or a combination of education and experienceExperience in MRP II / SAPSAP experience preferredExcellent knowledge in capacity planningGlobal supply chain & production control knowledge, and lean and inventory reduction techniquesGood mathematical and analytical skillsStrong organizational and problem solving skills, effective communication, and computer skills neededAPICS certification preferredMANAGEMENT/SUPERVISON:
