About Lihir

Our Lihir Operation, located on the beautiful island of Niolam, approximately 800km north of Papua New Guinea's capital, Port Moresby, is one of the world’s largest gold mines. Set within a geothermically active, extinct volcanic crater, Lihir operates an open-pit mine producing refractory ore, which undergoes pressure oxidation and conventional leaching to recover gold. Our workforce includes both residential and commute rosters, creating a diverse and dynamic team. Lihir offers a range of recreational facilities, including a gym, sports club, restaurant, bar, swimming pool, tennis and squash courts, and a 9-hole golf course. Purpose

Newmont Lihir Gold is proud to offer an exciting opportunity for experienced Planner within the Fleet Maintenance Planning to be part of something bigger - right here at home.

In this role, you will play a vital part in safely planning safe operation of the assets while delivering on the business performance requirements. The role is responsible for preparing the work packages to ensure correct parts,resources, tooling & instructions are available and ready for the maintenance execution team to deliver the require scope.

Essential Duties Ensure personal and team compliance with all company HSE requirement and policies including fitness for work.Lead by example, drive safety culture to ensure all staff recognize safety as their priority.Display behaviour consistent with Newmont Values.Provide governance over Lihir Mobile Fleet work manangement practices and standards.Ensure work orders plan prior to the required by date.Proritise defects based on classification and criticality.Leverages CMMS and reporting tools to ensure Preventative Maintenance and Defect elimination work package are delivered to execution team when required.Work constructively within a diverse group of people.Training & Experience 3+years experience in mobile fleet mainteanance planning/scheduling.Experience in mining asset management/maintenance.Computer proficience in MS Office suite, CMMS and SAP.Sound planning, anlytical and problem-solving skills.Proficient both verbal and written communicaiton skills.Excellent attention to detail adn time management skills to meet deadlines.Fly in/out roster experience preferred.What We Offer Competitive salary and benefit package.FIFO roster (22:20) from Port Moresby or other designated locations.Position based onsite at Lihir Island, New Ireland ProvinceAccommodation and meals provided on site.Opportunities for career development and training.Inclusive and diverse workplace culture.
