Your Role:
At Millipore Sigma, as the Planner 2 – Procurement, you are responsible for planning/buying and packaging activities for raw materials. This position is responsible for procurement of materials to support manufacturing of Solvents, Solutions and DNA reagents. This position reports to and supports the Production Planning & Purchasing Manager and works closely with the Planning & Operations teams to ensure timely receipt of packaging & raw materials needed for production.
Analyze planned orders for Packaging and/or raw material requirements as necessaryConvert planned orders to purchase requisitions and purchase ordersMaintain purchase order status, logistics and shipment tracking informationGenerate monthly KPI’s and create/update SOP’s and work instructionsMaintain strong working relationships and communications with support groups and key suppliers.Confirm, monitor & expedite open purchase orders for to ensure on-time deliveriesProactively report product and material availability issuesSupport inventory management activitiesMaintain and audit key SAP planning master dataDevelop excellent understanding of complex processes from beginning to end and all steps in detail to perform trouble shooting and process improvements effectively.Support and maintain a positive safety culture by following all safety policies and procedures and actively contributing to a safe working environmentMiscellaneous duties and tasks as assigned to meet business needs
Who You Are
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED 6+ months industry experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Mathematics or Supply Chain Management Experience in Production Planning, Scheduling and Procurement or Biotech/Pharmaceutical Industry Certification from APICS or IBF Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Qlik, Palentir etc)Demonstrated ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities while driving results for continuous improvement.High attention to detail and accuracy in written and electronic record keeping.Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to prioritize daily/weekly tasks based on criticality with minimal directionBasic knowledge of material requirements planning & scheduling techniques SAP experience
