Provide technical leadership and engineering services for project design and construction phase. Provide technical support for clients to evaluate all codes local and international and identify any deficiencies in submittals. Provide field engineering services for piping systems during the construction services phase of the projects. Attend client meetings and represent the mechanical piping group at meetings. Interpret and convey information from studies performed on Mechanical and piping systems to trades, owner, and general contractor. Provide technical support and guidance on detailed design documents and scope clarification for General contractor. Perform field walks and prepare reports based off field observations. Provide design direction and implementation during the early design and construction phase of the projects. Provide direction to enable construction management to make design alterations as required based on construction needs and construction methods. Work independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations.

REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or related field and 7 years of work experience in the job offered or related occupation.
SPECIFIC SKILLS: Expertise/ knowledge of: ASME B31.3 - Process Piping. Piping analysis and design considerations for Hazard Production Material (HPM) piping systems. Pipe materials including carbon steel, stainless steel, copper, PVC, CPVC, FRP, HDPE, Polypropylene, PVDF, and ECTFE. Double contains piping systems. Pipe support systems which utilize vibration spring isolator assemblies. Software including AutoPIPE, Caesar, AutoCAD, and Navisworks.
