We have many ongoing projects, from research and innovation, including pilot plant testing, to concept studies and to large EPC projects, both in Europe and in the United States. Today, we are delivering seven carbon capture units in Europe, with an accumulated capture capacity of 1 million tonnes of CO2. Slb Capturi US is seeking a skilled and motivated Piping Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in developing and applying piping material specifications, performing and reporting pipe stress analysis, and other pipe support issues. Reporting to the Lead Piping & Layout Engineer, you will be working closely with cross functional teams to ensure the successful integration of the piping & layout potion of the designs **Roles and Responsibilities:** + Prepare and review piping material specifications, valve material specifications, specialty item datasheets, piping bulk MTO, and manual valve MTO + Work on plot plans, piping plans, isometrics, stress inputs, support selection MTOs, pipe calculations, and test diagrams. + Work with piping and layout drafting personnel to ensure readily identifiable optimizations are incorporated prior to client reviews + Providing technical assistance to piping designers internal and external clients + Review piping systems designs, ensuring adherence to project specifications and industry codes + Conduct stress analysis and ensure the integrity of piping systems, providing solutions for any identified issues + Participate in design reviews and assessments, incorporating feedback into documents, as required. + Document and report on engineering activities, including design changes and modifications + Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations throughout the project lifecycle + Participate in project meetings and provide technical expertise and support as needed + Coordinate with other engineering disciplines in the preparation and development of the deliverables, ensuring applicable comments are incorporated. + Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for selection of appropriate materials, valves and piping specialty items for piping systems **Roles and Responsibilities:** + Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field + 3 to 5 years of experience in piping design and engineering + Professional Engineer (PE) desired + Proficiency in piping design software (e.g., AutoCAD, PDMS (AVEVA), SP3D) + Knowledge of stress analysis software (e.g., AutoPipe, Caesar II) + Strong knowledge of industry standards and codes (e.g., ASME B31.1/ASME B31.3, API, ASTM, CSA, PIP, MSS SP, AMPP/NACE) + Strong problem-solving and analytical skills + Self-motivated with a positive outlook and approach. + Attention to detail and a commitment to quality + Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. + A self-starter that demonstrates a positive outlook and contributes to working in multicultural and multidisciplinary and collaborative environment. + Candidates must be able to legally work and reside in the US, without sponsorship. .
