Key responsibilities:
Develop and support tools to accelerate workflow Identify changing requirements and recommend solutions Manage render scenes, light rigs and production assets Technically and creatively promote and maintain consistent product quality and desired look Drive the uptake of new tools across the studio Work with client teams to ensure tools aren’t duplicatedRequirements:
Proficient in Python and Linux shell languages (csh, tcsh, bash) Minimum of 3 years experience required in visual effects or high end commercial based work Strong understanding of CG production pipelines Sound understanding of CG techniques and technologies Strong ability to multi-task, organize, and problem-solve while keeping a calm demeanor under tight deadlines Proficient with one or more software APIs: Maya, Nuke, VRay, Deadline Must have a mature approach to software design and implementation Experience with Visual Effects Asset Management System design or development is a plus Strong familiarity with Linux operating systems Ability to thrive as a member of a team Excellent communication skills and attention to detail Exceptional organizational and analytical skills Detail oriented and focused on continual process improvement; must have a strong desire to learn from other members of the team, and to share knowledge and discoveriesThe base salary range for this position at the time of this posting is indicated below. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications.
