Pipeline Compliance Tech

Our client, a major company within the Oil and Gas Industry, is looking for a Pipeline Compliance Technician to work on a 12-months assignment in Sweeny, TX - Houston, TX.
Main Responsibilities:
Manage and implement DOT Programs such as the Damage Prevention Program (DPP), Public Awareness Program (PAP), and Operator Qualification (OQ) for HEC L48 assets. Perform annual reviews of programs and implement changes with Operations and Contractors. Assist in other annual program and procedure reviews. Work with Operations and Contractors to determine covered tasks and determine the required employee training and qualification requirements. Communicate applicable changes to the programs within the organization via Management of Change (MOC) process. Ensure qualification needs are identified for each individual and work with Foremen on assignments. Maintain records generated in the DOT filing systems.
Requirements 5+ years of oil and gas experience Pipeline operation Performing leak inspections Perform cathodic protection (CP) inspections DOT knowledge (Part 192 and Part 195) Damage prevention and excavation experience Line locating experience Pipeline construction/repair Ability to work alone and drive company vehicles Travel 50% of the time and available on call. Typical travel to Permian, Laredo, McAllen, and along the coast in TX and LA.
