Pipeline Data Systems (PDS), an Operations Support Group, has approximately 100 employees in the overall organization and is broken down into three groups – PODS, MVP, and Compliance Systems. These groups are dependent upon each other and work closely together on both day-to-day tasks as well as long term initiatives with the goal of accurate data and records to help ensure safety, compliance, and effective internal decision making. The overall department manages and is the primary user of a large variety of applications, systems, and tools to conduct business. This is made possible through collaboration with various IT groups that support the team. The Pipeline Compliance Systems Engineer will be a key contributor to the Compliance Systems team. The Compliance Systems team functions primarily to establish regulatory determinations and regulatory reporting for both natural gas and liquid assets.
We offer a hybrid schedule (Monday-Wednesday in office, Thursday-Friday remotely).

Responsibilities for the person in this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Primarily lead, conduct, and support – 49 CFR 195, TAC 8.101, CSFM Liquid, CO2, and HVL High Consequence Area (HCA) determinations; processes and procedures for identifying, updating, and incorporating related data; analysis, verification, and change detection of data inputs.Represent and provide subject matter expertise on behalf of PDS during liquid assets audits, both Federal and State.Compile data for audit requests and Annual Report filings.Ensure Kinder Morgan is prepared for and compliant with current and proposed regulations governing all Liquid, CO2, and HVL pipelines.Write technical procedures for new processes or update existing process documentation as required.Maintain specific data elements within the KM PODS spatial geodatabase through third party software.Support and maintain the ETL/dynamic segmentation process for liquid assets.Help develop and monitor meaningful metrics across PDS departments to better determine progress and inefficiencies in reference to HCA determinations and report filings.Research and resolve data concerns and provide data to various departmental requests.Use GIS(ArcPro) to prepare regulatory submissions for state agencies (NDIC, TXRRC, CALFIRE)Education:
Bachelor’s degree at a minimum with GIS or Engineering discipline preferred.Equivalent pipeline work experience will be considered in lieu of the preferred degree.
