Our manufacturing client in North Houston is seeking an experienced vessel fitter with 2+ years of experience working in a similar environment. This position is on a contract-to-hire basis, and we are looking for a motivated individual to join their fast-paced, growing team. The right person for this position will be able to perform well under pressure and be adaptable to rapid change and redirection.
Prepare and arrange the necessary tools and equipment required for assembling components as indicated in the contract drawings.Ensure that specially made assembly tools (such as shims, clamps, pull/push bars, etc.) are properly maintained and stored.Maintain cleanliness in the designated work area.Ensure proper maintenance of equipment ranging from welding machines to turning rolls.Verify parts or components before assembly.Inspect completed work before final welding to guarantee compliance with drawings and procedures.Collaborate with the welding supervisor on all aspects and stages (safety, efficiency, and quality) of the job.Consistently achieve high production levels with quality results.Prioritize safety in all work activities.
