The Pipe Yard Specialist will increase operational efficiency, company profitability, and customer satisfaction by accurately and safely pulling, receiving, and loading pipe. This position will most typically work Monday through Friday, 7 AM to 3:30 PM with a half hour lunch break.
This position is outside and will require working in hot, cold, rainy, and snowy conditions. It requires the ability to lift/carry/pull heavy material or equipment up to 75 pounds. It also requires the ability to stand/walk for duration of work hours and climb stairs, descend stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, handle, and feel.
Pulling pipe orders accurately, efficiently, and safely
• Unloading pipe trucks
• Receiving pipe inventory in the computer system accurately
• Load trucks to ensure that no product is damaged in shipment in conjunction with the Warehouse Coordinator’s route
• Keeping pipe yard neat, organized, and safe.
• Keep pipe racks stocked with correct material
• Responsible for all inventory in the yard, including quantity counts, damaged material, etc.
• Operate a forklift safely and efficiently, maintain required certification, perform vehicle safety checks and report discrepancies to manager/supervisor
• Follow all established policy and safety guidelines in a drug-free workplace
• Process and print paperwork accurately and in a timely manner
• Follow company and OSHA Safety policies and procedures
• All other duties, as assigned. Regular and appropriate attendance is an essential function of this and all positions at APS.
Work Experience
Must be able to operate a large forklift
