GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Test Pilot Engineer is responsible for coordinating with departments the execution of NPD runs (prototype runs, pilot runs, dry runs, limited SOP runs, and SOP runs), as well as validation activities for the introduction of new platforms and model year changes, ensuring the timely delivery of vehicles with the required quality.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
● Professional background, preferably in Engineering.
● 4-6 years of industry experience.
● 2 years of experience in a similar position.

● 90% bilingual (English and Spanish), both oral and written.

● Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Office.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
● Responsible for generating and monitoring the master plan for the preparation and execution of NPD runs.
● Manage follow-up sessions with the involved departments to coordinate NPD runs.
● Collaborate with planning and logistics departments to monitor material receipt and delivery processes on assembly lines.
● Monitor production during the execution of NPD runs.
● Ensure that the NPD run schedule is met on time and without delays.
● Ensure the repair and shipment of pilot vehicles on time and with the required quality.
● Release pilot vehicles with ECNs and approved parts before the SOP.
● Tracking NPDs, missing parts, and replacements prior to NPD runs.
● Supporting the NPD team's activities.
● Any other activities assigned by their supervisor.
● Performing safety-related activities.
● Participating in compliance with the QMS (Quality Management System) determined for their role in relation to ISO 9001:2015.
● Complying with safety rules determined according to their role.
● Complying with planned Quality and Training-related training on time.
● Identifying and reporting any quality and compliance issues and supporting corrective actions.
