Vancouver Coastal Health is looking for a Physiotherapy Assistant to join the Home Health team at Raven Song Community Health Centre in Vancouver, BC. Apply today to join our team!

 

As a Physiotherapy Assistant you will:

Function under the operational supervision of the Manager or Team Leader the practice supervision of the PT Practice Coordinator and the direction of a licensed designated physiotherapist to work as a member of the health care team.Provide assigned physical therapy therapeutic interventions.Assist in modification of PT care plans in order to enable clients to maximize potential for independence.Provide functional direction to client and family.Report relevant observations of client's condition and progress in writing or by utilizing basic computer literacy.Manage equipment safety and inventory.

About Home Health Programs:

 

Home Health programs provide a range of health care and support services to people living in the community who have acute, chronic, palliative or rehabilitative health care needs.

 

The Client Population:

 

Home Health clients typically have on-going health issues and/or complex personal and/or social issues, requiring care planning and coordination of appropriate resources. Clients include frail elderly, younger clients with disabilities, and adults with chronic illnesses requiring supports to maintain/promote independence. Raven Song serves the midtown area including Olympic Village, Mount Pleasant, Main Street and Riley Park neighbourhoods.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

Completion of a recognized Diploma level Rehabilitation Assistant Program with Physical therapy components plus one (1) year's recent, related experience working with target population or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.Valid BC Driver’s License and access to a vehicle. Local area travel requires the use of a personal vehicle for which mileage will be reimbursed.
