MetroHealth is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Developmental Behavioral Pediatrician to join our team as a full-time provider.
**We see:** Children with developmental, learning, and behavior problems, including:
· Suspected ADHD with comorbid mood, learning, and externalizing behaviors.
· Children with problems of daily functioning (eating, sleeping, toileting).
· New assessments for “not listening” or “failing in school,” where thorough elucidation of the developmental, social, and cognitive context is needed.
· Children with suspected autism complicated by behavioral difficulties, or where extended parent education is useful prior to formal ASD diagnosis through MAAC.
· Children with known or suspected Fragile X
· Children with known or suspected FAS.
**We do:**
· Holistic assessments (usual first visit is 60-90 minutes, with parent and teacher questionnaires).
· ADHD evaluations that go beyond Vanderbilts to include other standardized questionnaires and assessments of learning, developmental history, and familial and social factors.
· Behavioral counseling (brief parent management training)
· Multiaxial management for children with comorbid medical and behavioral problems.
· Psychopharmacological management, including medication selection and titration, and ongoing med management, if requested.
**We collaborate with** Child Psychology (including the Autism Assessment Clinic), Child Psychiatry, various therapists (SLT, OT, PT), schools, community agencies.
**Job requirements:** Board certification in General Pediatrics and Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics. Expectations for a full-time position include patient management; the ability to see children in more than one location (different clinical sites); resident education (precepting in clinic, lecturing); participation in fellow education (seminars, research collaboration); collaboration with colleagues in the Division, including support for APRNs as needed.
