ICP is a physician led clinically integrated health care network whose mission is to assist our members in providing the highest quality care at the most reasonable cost for our patients in the current rapidly changing medical environmentPosition SummaryReporting directly to the Manager of Payer Analytics Reporting the Physician Payer Analyst develops a modeling process for negotiated rate changes with Managed Care payors for physicians and medical professionals Develops payment related tools such as payer rate grids and fee schedule comparison databases Responds to contract related inquiries within established timeframes Works independently to identify and correct drivers related to contract language and rate terms Identifies and corrects issues related to contract performance Position ResponsibilitiesDevelops modeling process to benchmark reimbursement rates to Contracted Commercial Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement levelsDevelops modeling process to maximize professional reimbursement and ensure consistency and equity among specialtiesRecommends contract provisions and protections to minimize payer policy impacts on physician revenue to Manager of Payer Analytics ReportingProvides the data and intelligence to support fact based negotiations with payorsDevelops ad hoc analysis in support of HHC andor ICP initiatives as assigned ensuring end results healthcare MIS Finance Statistics Mathematics or related field is requiredExperience At least five years of physician contract modeling related experienceKnowledge Skills and Ability RequirementsKnowledge regarding current and evolving provider payment methodologies with a focus on physicianKnowledge of governmental payment structuresKnowledge of physician payment policies and coding required including CPTHCPC and modifier codingKnowledge of common payment adjustments including site of service and provider level differentialsExperience with EPIC contract modeling software as well as other financial software and reporting tools preferredExperience working with large data sets preferredExcel and Access ability required SQL experience a plusDemonstrated knowledge on billing and coding is required as well as broad knowledge of health care finance andor accounting issuesStrong interpersonal and communication skills essential as well as demonstrated ability to work
