_JOB OPPORTUNITY: Physician (Neurohospitalist)_ Hartford HealthCare Medical Group, Inc. seeks two full-time Neurohospitalist Physicians to: Work in the inpatient hospital setting performing assessments and management of patients with neurologic conditions; ordering and assessing diagnostic studies of patient symptoms; providing clinical management, including patient and family education and appropriate medical referrals; working as part of multidisciplinary team and with other departments and divisions within and without Hartford HealthCare; participating in clinical research and quality improvement programs at the hospital and health-system level; participating in educational programs for medical students, graduate medical students, advanced practitioners and nurses; attending Grand Rounds; documenting encounters and billing of direct patient contact with neurologic patients; providing services in accordance with assignment, coverage and on-call schedules; and performing general Neurology and Tele-Neurology consult services, inpatient second attending, and weekend call services on rotating schedule. Will work at MidState Medical Center, 435 Lewis Avenue, Meriden, CT 06451 and The Hospital of Central Connecticut, 100 Grand Street, New Britain, CT 06052. The minimum requirements for this position are: Doctor of Medicine (M.D.), Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.), or the foreign equivalent; completion of a U.S. medical residency program in Neurology and a U.S. medical fellowship program in Vascular Neurology; board eligibility or certification in Neurology and Vascular Neurology; and the possession of or eligibility for an unrestricted Connecticut medical license.
