Mercy seeking Family Medicine with Obstetrics (FMOB) physicians to join our growing OB hospitalist program at Mercy Hospital Fort Smith, Arkansas serving a region of nearly 500,000 lives. This is an exceptional opportunity to provide dedicated care in a busy OB Emergency Department and Labor & Delivery unit with no responsibility for the general medical floor, GYN, or main ER. Position Details: 24-hour OB hospitalist shifts focused solely on L&D and OBED Collaborative, well-supported environment with OB/GYNs, APRNs, CNMWs, and experienced L&D nursing staff Enjoy a healthy, team-based culture focused on high-quality maternal care Ideal Candidates Will Be: Board certified or board eligible in Family Medicine with OB Experienced FMOB physicians or graduates of FMOB residencies and/or fellowships Skilled and confident in full-scope FMOB including C-sections About Mercy Women & Children’s Services at Mercy Hospital Fort Smith: High-volume hospital: 2,900 deliveries per year Laborist involvement: Manage approximately 25 deliveries a month Facilities: Two dedicated L&D ORs, with access to main OR as needed Support: 24/7 in-house anesthesia and neonatology; 24/7 virtual MFM coverage Team: 9 OB/GYNs with two additional physicians joining this fall On Call: Two OB/GYNs on call providing backup coverage at all times.
