With CHKD Medical Group (CMG), you’ll join more than 120 CHKD board-certified pediatricians and nurse practitioners in 19 primary care practices (https://www.chkd.org/our-care/primary-care-pediatricians/) with 27 locations throughout southeastern Virginia and northeastern North Carolina. Each CHKD medical group practice is recognized by the National Committee on Quality Assurance (NCQA) as a patient-centered medical home for our patients. And, as a member of CHKD Health System, CMG pediatricians work closely with our full range of pediatric specialist and surgeons. Responsibilities include:
+ Provide high-quality, compassionate pediatric care in an outpatient clinic setting
+ Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions in children
+ Build strong connections with patients and families, fostering a supportive environment
+ Participate in rotating on-call duties as needed
+ Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including subspecialists, nursing staff, and on-call triage
+ Ensure patient care is aligned with best practices and medical guidelines
+ Engage in continuing medical education and professional development
Qualifications
+ Board-eligible or board-certified in pediatrics (if board-eligible, certification must be obtained within 2 years of residency completion)
+ Must possess a valid Virginia medical license
+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient care
+ Excellent rapport with children and families
