Physician Assistant - Plastics / Hand Surgery

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Physician Assistant - Plastics / Hand Surgery to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln. Opportunity Details:

The successful candidate will help and coordinate a busy hand surgery practice.  Assist surgeons during surgical procedures by providing necessary instruments and supplies.  Conduct preoperative patient assessments to ensure readiness for surgery.  Monitor patients' vital signs and condition during surgery.  Perform wound closures, including suturing and applying dressings.  Provide postoperative care, including monitoring complications and changing dressings. Educate patients and their families about surgical procedures, risks, and postoperative care.  Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care. Participate in clinical rounds and patient consultations.  Document patient interactions and clinical procedures accurately in medical records and assist in the development and implementation of patient care plans.  Facilitate continuity of care in the in-patient setting and upon discharge after surgery.
