Overview Physician, TOG Morristown Full Time, 80 Hours Per Pay Period, Day Shift (Weekend call once every 4 to 5 weekends. Weeknight call on rotation one evening every 1-2 weeks). Position Summary: Under general guidance of the Chief of Medical Oncology Section or the Medical Director, directs the care of patients with cancer and diseases of the blood referred to the TOG. Works closely with the nursing staff and clinical trials staff to ensure the provision of excellent patient care. Participation in fund-raising activities and in community information activities. Maintains cordial relations with referring physicians and participates in activities with potential to enhance relations with them. Minimum Experience: Effective communication skills required and must interact effectively with medical specialists, primary care providers, and with professional and civic organizations. If Board Eligible, must become certified within two exam cycles after beginning employment.
