Education:
AA degree from an accredited PT Assistant program.
Licensures/Certifications:
Current Maryland license as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
Healthcare Provider (CPR Certification).

• Ability to manage an average caseload of 2 patients per hour.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
• Provides testing information for the physical therapist in the following areas:
• Range of motion
• Sensation
• Limb girth/length
• Establishes, implements and documents treatment program and progress based upon goals and evaluation results in consultation with the physical therapist.
• Implements appropriate therapeutic interventions, progressing treatment plan and teaching patients/caregivers activities to reinforce therapeutic interventions, providing/fitting appropriate assistive devices and recognizing patient distress signals, which need follow-up.
• Utilizes the assistance of rehab techs and volunteers for housekeeping, transportation and physical assistance. Does not utilize the rehab tech in a context that could be interpreted as providing supervision.
• Informs Physical Therapist and Interdisciplinary Team of patient’s status and progress towards goals. Documents communications with Physical Therapist regarding changes in patient status or treatment plan. Communicates with Coordinator regularly regarding same.
• Communicates with patient/caregiver to allay anxieties, seek input and elicit cooperation.
• Identifies the need for therapeutic equipment and supplies; communicates information to Coordinator.
• Participates in performance improvement activities, collecting data and suggesting areas for improvement.
• Documents treatment plans and progress; records data required for statistics, productivity, billing, performance improvement program, etc. as appropriate.

$26.53 - $43.50Final salary offer will be based on the candidate's qualifications, education, experience and alignment with our organizational needs.
