Physical Therapist (Outpatient) - 20 hours/week, day shift
**Job Type:** Regular **Time Type:** Part time **Work Shift:** Day (United States of America) **FLSA Status:** Non-Exempt **When you join the growing BILH team, you're not just taking a job, you’re making a difference in people’s lives.** **Job Description:** The Outpatient Physical Therapist evaluates a patient's mobility and motor assets and liabilities for functional performance. The Physical Therapist provides goal-directed, activity-oriented treatment to promote optimum independence in functional mobility and daily life tasks. As a member of the health care team, the physical therapist works closely with other rehabilitation disciplines, nursing, physicians, and case managers to provide patient-centered care. Patient/family and community education are essential components of this position. Key Responsibilities + Evaluate patients' mobility and motor function to assess functional performance + Develop and implement goal-directed, activity-oriented treatment plans + Promote optimum independence in functional mobility and daily life tasks + Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care + Provide patient, family, and community education on physical therapy and rehabilitation + Maintain accurate and timely patient records + Stay current with best practices and emerging techniques in physical therapy **Qualifications** **Required** + Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Program + Current Massachusetts Physical Therapy license + Current BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) certification + Strong interpersonal and communication skills + Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team **Preferred** + Experience in outpatient physical therapy settings + Additional certifications in specialized physical therapy techniques **Education and Experience** + Graduate degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Program + Relevant clinical experience preferred **Licenses and Certifications** + Current Massachusetts Physical Therapy license + Current BCLS certification **As a health care organization, we have a responsibility to do everything in our power to care for and protect our patients, our colleagues and our communities.
